Transit-Jeunesse now focuses on the future of young adults aged 18 to 25, providing psychosocial support tailored to their specific needs. Our mission is to help these young people develop autonomy and self-esteem by providing the support they need in their transition to adulthood. We firmly believe that every young person deserves a personalized journey, which is why we work with them to develop a concrete plan centered on their objectives.
Our values of well-being, respect, solidarity, and collaboration guide all our actions, and we are committed to providing a trustworthy environment where each young person can grow at their own pace and foster a sense of social belonging. Through individual interventions, thematic workshops, and a network of partners, we offer comprehensive support that addresses the complex realities of their daily lives.
A continuously evolving journey.
While Transit-Jeunesse now focuses on supporting young adults, our history is marked by decades of support for struggling teenagers. Founded in 1986, the organization initially served as a shelter for young women aged 12 to 17, offering them safe accommodation and support to rebuild their self-esteem. For many years, Transit-Jeunesse helped these young women regain stability in a caring environment, despite their personal challenges.
Over time, and in response to changing social needs, Transit-Jeunesse has adapted to address new challenges. In 2024, the organization underwent a significant transformation, refocusing its mission to support a broader client base of young adults from all walks of life. This change marks a new chapter in our history, while remaining true to our commitment to provide a safe and welcoming space for young people seeking support.
From our beginnings until today, Transit-Jeunesse has always placed young people at the heart of our mission. With this new direction, we continue to write our story by providing each young adult with the tools and support they need to build a more autonomous and confident future.
